time line reflection
One of the major events in earths history was the first land plant, this was very important because is showed the first signs of life on land. A second major event in earth's history was the time of the dinosaurs, this was very important because it was a time of massive biodiversity. Another major even was the ice age, this was important because this was when the world was covered in ice. the scale of earth history is bigger than the planet itself, and what real surprised me was how old the world is. To me its mind blowing that the amount of time we have been on earth is century's compared to use, but it is only a small fraction of the earth history. I only have one question"Why was the Earth made in the first place?"

Coming soon the windjet MK 10
During our 20 time me and Elias have relived that making a new wind mill design isn't as easy as we thought it would be. We have also learn about our self's, witch is that Elias is great at finding info and I am good at putting it together. We have had many setback on trying to find the right design for our project. We were able to handle it very well when we made the wind jet MK 10. Next Elias will find info on the resent windmill design and I will organized so that we can use it to benefit our design. Our project will help our community produce more energy from the wind.
hunger games lad conclusion
- In this lab we birds with different beaks trying to survive and reproduces. We were trying to simulate natural selection
- The phenotype that was best at capturing food was the pinchers because we had the highest population in the end
- The population of mostly evolved in to Pinchers. This happened because Most of the Pinchers survived and were able to reproduce.
- In this lab the food placement was random, what was not random was the feeding area.
- I believe that if the food was larger or smaller it would have made a difference. It would have probably given the stumpys a better chance at surviving. I can relate this to how an ecosystem can loss food sources as easily as it gains food sources.
- Yes there would be a change if there was not incomplete dominance because the stumpys would not have died.
- the relationship between Natural selection and evolution is that we were able to mate freely and our offspring was given a new trait or the trait of a different birds.
- The groups adapted the ability to collect large amounts of food to survive. The species that had the most food would have gotten to pass down their alleles to their offspring. i can relate this to how Squeals collect food for the winter to ensurer there survival.
- In evolution the alleles of the population change so that the population can survive. Natural selection acts as a phenotype because it pass alleles from perent to offspring.

bird beak lab analyses
1.These 2 graphs show how much food i got and how many offspring i had.
2. My fits hypothesis was "If my offspring have a tweezers beak then they will survive" my evidence is that the tweezers beak was able to pick up most of the food. my second hypothesis " If the population have tweezers beak then we will survive" my evidence is that the tweezers beak allows the population to feed more.
3. I believe the the tweezers beak will help you survive because it can easy pic up food. The more food you get the higher your chances are to survive.

new windmill design 1st post by chirs and elias
20% time is when a teacher give 20% of class time to his or hers student to work on a project of his or hers choosing. Our essential question is how do you making windmills more efficient and produce more energy? For our 20 time we decided to make a new windmill design that would obtain more energy in any kind of wind speed. We did this because it will make sure no one wastes energy. Our design shows how it collects more energy than the average windmill. Our goal is to create new windmill design that creates more energy than the average windmill. For the progress/achievements we have right now is one design but no information on it. We plan on making a blue print of our design that shows all information about it.

unit 7 reflection
This unit was all about ecology the study of organisms and how they entrant with their environment. The main theme of this unite was what effects an environment positively and negatively. I want to learn more ways that we can help save the environment. I also want to learn how pollution effects the organisms in an environment. One unanswered question i have is "Why do people litter so much when they know it is dangerous for the environment?" Another unanswered question i have is "How long do we have before we destroy our own planet with pollution?" The first thing i wounder about is how many land fills and garbage dumps do we have. The second thing i wounder is how mad is the garbage at sea and how is it effecting the sea life. During our conservation biologist project we had so things that went well and some thing that didn't went well. What went well for us was the drawing and filming. What didn't went well was putting and editing the move together. During this project i learned how the arctic is being threaded by global warming and how it effects the animals. I also learned how we can stop global warming and save the arctic. The collaboration went well we did have some problems but it work out well in the end.

unit 6 reflection
This unite was mainly about the biotech witch is the study and manipulation of living things(including their molecules, cells, tissues, or organs) in order to benefit mankind. the main theme was to see how cell, bacteria, and proteins react when added plasmid to them, witch could drastically change them sometimes in a good way but some times in a bad way. One of my set backs was trying to understand all of the fields of study that biotech can go with. Another thing that was a set back for me was writing down notes during the pGLO vodcast. One of my successes was being able to please the dye in the well of the gel. Another one of my successes was being able to make bacteria glow.
first we did the recombinant DNA lab. in this lab we learned how DNA is extracted by a restriction enzyme, then is added to a plasmid with a cut that can allow the DNA strand to fit in it. The second lab was the candy electrophoresis lab. in this lab we extracted the dye from candy and see if was the right color by putting it through the gel. the last lab we did was the pGLO lab. in this lab we added plasmids to bacteria to see if it would make it glows.
there is some things I want to learn about like if adding a plasmid to bacteria can cause the bacteria to die, and can plasmids help cure despises. One of my unanswered questions id who discovered biotech? another is how many things can biotech contribute to? I am also wondering if biotech will continue to expand its field of study.
I have inproved on my goals a lot. I have been working out harder in PE, and also have tried harder to meet my minimum standers. I will continue to work hard in PE and will never stop in tell I reach my goals. I also have improved on my studying methods for tests and quizzes. I will continue to practice new studying methods in tell find one that suites me.
